Sepia print of plumbers and electricians at Mangakino, in two rows outside in front of construction equipment and buildings. Mangakino town was built as a temporary township from 1946 to house hundreds of construction workers needed to build a new hydroelectric station, Maretai I dam. On verso hand written note corresponds to x's on recto, which identify two people. One is Andy Gillespie, who was in charge of plumbers, drain layers and sheet metal workers. As well as Tom Christenson in charge of electricians.
