Description
A power cycle 'Mosquito'. Engine: Brevetti Moto Garelli, Milano, Italy on Hercules bicycle with Dunlop tyres. Chrome handle bars with green plastic grips. Black metal bell on left handlebar. Rear wheel brake on left hand side. Right hand brake unconnected. Brown seat cover with plastic plaid top. Frame has single red pin stripe. Red light at rear wheel above ear guard. Petrol cylinder above rear wheel. Black metal mudguards on back and front tyres. Black plastic mudflap at end of front mudguard. Engine beneath gear chain. Hinged light at front beneath handlebar.
Brief History
A motorised bicycle is a ‘push bike’ that has a motor attached to assist with pedalling. Motorised bicycles are different from motorcycles in that they can be propelled by pedals alone. Earlier models were powered by internal combustion engines but today some such vehicles are powered by battery.
