Description
Wooden, wagon turntable. Possibly from Mt.Albert, wooden turntables of this type were used to turn wagons and were usually found in industrial places.
Brief History
Wooden turntables of this type were used to turn wagons and were usually found in industrial areas where space was a premium and tracks ran a right angle to the main track. The maximum lpading was 5 tons and it was designed to turn short wheel base wagons. This one was possibly used at Mount Albert. It was donated to MOTAT by Auckland Farmers Freezing works located of Quay Street.
