Description
This image was taken by Graham Stewart on a Sunday afternoon, during his role as a cadet photographer for New Zealand Herald. Stewart was covering an event where the Governor General was speaking at Baradene College. Though supposed to be capturing the Governor General, Stewarts filled his roll of film of images of the trams on Victoria Avenue, including this image of Sunday Special Trams on Victoria Avenue. Stewart luckily managed to capture one image of the Governor General which was published in the New Zealand Herald in 1955.
