The child has short dark hair and is dressed in a light coloured smock that reaches to the ankles. The child has bare feet. The child's right hand can be see about knee level with the arm behind the body. The child's left hand and be seen resting over the top the the woman's right forearm. The woman is looking toward the viewer, and the baby is looking to the right of the viewer.
