Description
Uniform Jacket [Auckland Transport Board]. Black/Navy blue woollen single breasted jacket with black lining in body and cream, blue and brown striped lining in arms. Two breast pockets both with single silver "ATB" button and flap closure. Four silver "ATB" buttons for closure at centre front. No internal pockets. Left sleeve has black badge with two red stripes (ribbon) sewn to it near cuff. This badge denotes length of service, with one stripe representing five years of service. The wearer of this jacket had at least 10 years service with the ATB. [Note - the wearer of this jacket worked for 11 years with the ATB from 1945-1956].
