Brief History
This record commissioned by Air New Zealand and produced by Viking Records contains music from some of the airline's Pacific destinations during the 1970s.

Viking Records was a local New Zealand recording company based in Wellington. It was established in the late 1950s by Murdoch Riley who had previous experience in the New Zealand Broadcasting Service and at Radio Corporation NZ's TANZA recording label. The Viking label featured local musicians with a strong focus on Māori and Pacific artists and content.
