Description
1. Wire Recorder: Grey/black, metal case with red inscriptions. Small speaker on front with two push buttons, a knob and a light. Marked "Electronic Memory / WEBSTER-CHICAGO"; Top has mechanism for a large reel and a smaller reel, a minute knob and a lever. On reverse is maker’s plate: "RMA 375 / WEBSTER-CHICAGO / CHICAGO 89, ILL. U.S.A. / LICENCED UNDER ARMOUR PATENTS / MODEL 228-1 / [...]"

2. Foot Operated Control Switch: Black, rubber coated, Rectangular, foot pedal controller. Marked with the Webster Chicago logo and "REVERSE FORWARD". Power cable protrudes from centre back of object.

3. Microphone: Rectangular, dark grey metal box with small rectangular light grey button on left. Front has grill with white linen fabric under and silver metal bar below. At back is a metal loop for handing microphone on hook. Cable protrudes from right side, it is black fabric covered and splits off to two plugs - one a power plug, the other appears to be the audio plug.

4. Wire Recording Spool: Circular, black and white metal spool. Holds silver wire. Marked on front: "WEBSTER-CHICAGO / W C"; Marked on back: "1/4 HOUR SPOOL / CAT NO. W173 101 / 61551F52"

5. Pamphlet [Service Instructions]: A4 sized, paper, black and white printed, "SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS / for / MODEL 288 DICTATION TYPE / WIRE RECORDER / WEBSTER CHICAGO / 5610 Bloomingdale Ave. Chicago 39, III. / 79P187", 20 pages, double sided

6. Pamphlet [Operating Instructions]: A4 sized, paper, black and white printed, "OPERATING / INSTRUCTIONS / MODEL 80 / WIRE RECORDER / WEBSTER CHICAGO / 5610 Bloomingdale Ave. Chicago 39, III. / 79PO25", 11 pages, double sided. [NB: Operating instructions are for an earlier model, but were used with this model by the owner.]

7. Wire Recording Spool: Circular, black and white metal spool. Holds silver wire. Marked on front: "WEBSTER-CHICAGO / W C"; Marked on back: "1 HOUR SPOOL / CAT NO. W-175 40 / 20851558"

8. Dictaphone Cover: Cover is made of plastic (yellowed) with black edging. Red printed text on top face: "W C / WEBSTER-CHICAGO / DICTATION MACHINE / with / Natural Voice PLAYBACK"
