Cover title. Originally published 1946, this edition incorporates amendments 1, 2, and 3. Includes diagrams of the instrument panel and cockpit. "The Supermarine Seafire was a naval version of the Supermarine Spitfire specially adapted for operation from aircraft carriers. The name Seafire was arrived at by collapsing the longer name Sea Spitfire." Prepared by direction of the Minister of Supply; promulgated for information and guidance of all concerned by command of Their Lordships.
