Description

Small maroon coloured box with blue/purple coloured silk/velvet lining. Box is hinged.
Medal is gold coloured with pink ribbon with white vertical trim on either side, medal bar at top [FOUNDER] and bottom of ribbon [1909]. Medal is oval with Freemasons logo at top, depicts Maori Chief in centre holding taiaha and branch above head. Marked around medal "LODGE TAWHIRI . No. 166", reverse of medal engraved "G. WATT"
