Medal [Air Force Cross]
Box: Black, marked "A.F.C.", hinged opening with cream silk and felt lining. Makers mark stamped inside "ROYAL MINT".
Medal: Silver Cross with 'winged' shield surround. Centre depicts Man with trident and wreath riding a large bird. Crown depicted on upper protion of medal with each arm of cross marks with either "G" "I" "VI" or "R". Ribbon of medal is red and white striped with white edging. Reverse of medal marked "GRJ / 1918" "1943"
Ribbon: Small medal ribbon with red and white angled stripes and white edging.
