Description
Large green crate with rope handles on two ends, at those ends are also metal loops possibly for transporting. Inside crate is a metal box-shaped object with metal tubes at base, metal crank wheel on the side and four metal frame arms with loops and pins, circular glass covered holes and dials, one large dial with arrow to measure in yards reads 'ORD. Q. F. 40 mm MKI // PROS.H.E. MK I.T. // M.V. 2750 F/S (1/2 WORN GUN) // LAG CORRECTION 0.07 SECS // T.E.SETTING 0.058 INCHES', metal plate on side reads 'PREDICTOR A.A. No 3 MK I // A.R. & Co // 1942 // REG. No 7759 // OS-5-GA'
Top of object is open exposing inner components which includes four motors. Plate on one motor reads 'O.S.800 A // MOTOR 1/40 B.H.P. // MK.1.A. // 50 VOLTS 50 // 3 PHASE // 2500/2750 R.P.M. // B.U.Z. [?]1508 // 1942' and various cogs leading to dials, loose lens-like object.

I have the 350cc Douglas electric generating set that is the power pack for this unit, also out of reserve storage. 1200va/350w. Wd No B4279A

Came from Valintines surplus store in Hamilton approx 1970. part of the 3.7 anti aircraft unit along with Matador Gun Tactor 3,7 gun and BTH moblie radar unit.
