Description
Three sets of petrol ration coupons. Set one includes 12 coupons (no.s 13-24) printed in black ink on red/orange each valued for 3 gallons of petrol, dated 1947-48. Set 2 includes 6 coupons (no.s 29-31 and 34-36) for 4 gallons of petrol each printed in pale green with black ink with no date. The lack of a date suggest these stamps were earlier than the others. Set 3 includes 9 coupons (no.s 28-36) printed in 1942 each for 4 gallons of petrol, printed in black on dark green printed paper. The 1942 stamps have all been used (stamped with "Motor Registration Auckland 29 Jun 1942").

Kia ora Colin, thank you for your enquiry. If you could please send some images to collections@motat.org.nz we can look at these for you. Please be aware that as a public museum we do not provide valuations, for this you would need to contact an auction house, most of whom provide a valuation service.

I have a section of a petrol rationing card showing numbers 25 to 36 for 3 gallons of petrol. Printed in black on yellow/orange paper. Can you identify these for me and an estimate of value?
