Description
Auckland City Depot trolley bus switching gear [electrical]. Grey painted metal backboards with 2 voltmeters, a frequency meter,2 volt graph meters (looks like a seismograph, 2 switch dials, a power switch and 6 fuses. Has a pipe running down its back.
The two voltmeters are large, black with silver framing, makers logo/plate is attached to centre/bottom on front face, face of meter is white with black writing. Volt meters read 0-300000 and are from same maker "B / T-H". Labels are stuck to the board on the left of each voltmeter identifying them as "No1 BUS / FRONT" and "No2 BUS / REAR".
The cycles meter is round, black and has a white face with black writing, marked "CYCLES / PER SECOND / FREQUENCY METER / NO255273 110VOLTS / B / T-H".
The volt graph meters(?) are large rectangular black metal cases with Perspex fronts, they have red ruled graph paper inside, paper label inside marked "No950260 / VOLTS / EVERETT EDGCUMBE / LONDON / TYPE RMSR / "INKWELL". The graphs are also labelled "6KV" and "22KV".
There are two dials and a on/off switch below the graphs, the dials are on the left and right. The 1st dial is labelled "VOLTMETER SWITCH" the second is unlabelled.
The 6 fuses are black and run along the bottom of the board, the first two are labelled "22KV No1 BUS", the 2nd two are labelled "22KV No2 BUS" and the last 2 are labelled "FREQUENCY METER".
