Brief History
This 11 foot, 4-wheeled timber truck was the smallest class of conventional wagon to run on the New Zealand Railways. It was built in approximately 1890 as an 'N' class wagon. It was eventually paired-up with the 5-tonne hand-crane 283 (by Ransomes and Rapier) and used as a boom support runner wagon. It spent its final days at Otira Junction.
