Brief History
Wagon J 4150 was one of 731 of the J 5 type, 15' sheep wagons built between 1940 and 1942 (432 were built for the North Island and 299 were built for the South Island). New Zealand's stock transport is now moved by road, but New Zealand Railways was once the prime mover of stock throughout the country, servicing major towns and cities, rural areas and freezing works.
