Postcard showing Post Office, Cambridge. On verso written: "Post Office Cambridge Thurs 12/5/27. 12.30pm. Dear Mary - We arrived here to time last Monday afternoon. Had a glorious day for trip & same weather ever since so chose the right time for our holiday. It is cold at night & in morning. The town is very pretty & the trees & gardens look lovely with the autumn tints & shades. Am having a pleasant rest & shall be sorry to be on way home at this hour tomorrow. but all good things come to an end sooner or later - eh! Wonder how Annie is liking her new work & surroundings. this clock chimes at 1/4 hr 1/2 & 3/4 & strikes the hour during day from 1am until 10pm. Now must get home for lunch. Much love from G. E. Barlow."
