Sewing machine used for perforating leather in shoe making. Cast metal painted black with large circular metal plate.
Brief History
This machine was used in the manufacture of children’s shoes by J M Alexander Shoes, Auckland. The machine, used to perforate leather, was attached to a large kauri work bench and powered by a central generator.
