Description
Group Captain Honourable Ralph Cochrane (front right), later to become Sir, shown with other officers at RNZAF air display, Whenuapai Airbase. G/C R. At the front is Cochrane on right with L. M. Isitt on left, at the back is SgLd Ed T Neville in the centre, with Robins on left. Cochrane (CBE, KCB, AFC, RAF) is known as the father of the NZ air force. Two dates have been given for image c1937 and c1936-1939.
