Description

Distinguished Flying Replica Medal (D.F.M), Circa 1918. Silver oval shaped medal with purple and white diagonal stripped ribbon. Obverse face depicts a bareheaded effigy with text around the outside of the oval, "GEORGIVS VI D: C: BR: OMN: REX F: D: IND:IMP:". Reverse face of medal: Man standing on top of eagle holding a laurel wreath and sceptre, with imprinted text "1918". Medal is attached to ribbon bar by a bomb and two wings.
