Poster witting at bottom of poster Tahiti / Air New Zealand' next to Tasman Empire Airways Limited logo of a symbolised flying fish, the Maroro.

Poster design by Arthur Alfred Thompson, and probably based on a photograph by Life photographer Eliot Elisofon in 1954, of a woman fixing her hair in a river in French Polynesia, taken for LIFE Magazine.

Poster design was used for a number of earlier TEAL advertising posters.

Poster background is a lithograph, title probably screen printed.
