Black and White Television, His Masters Voice. Model Number 1816 and Serial Number H/17 1194. Television = HMV, Pic. Tube = EMI. Controls on right hand side.Cabinet made from light varnished wood. Below pic. tube (front) "By appointment to the King...The Gramophone Co. Hayes Middlesex". Two Manufacture labels at Rear. Left rear leg reads "For Reference always quote Model No. 1816 and Serial No. H/17 1194". Right hand leg label indicates royalties have been paid with 'License plate' logo. Good Label on inside indicates Pic Tube is "EMISCOPE TUBE 12 inch TYPE 3/31". Uses Miniature Valves

The sign found behind doors reads " 1950 HMV 12 inch Early Post war Model using 70 Picture Tube. Manufactured by Electrical Musical Industries Ltd. England" Other information on set indicates H.M.V/ The Gramophone Co. were the makers. The Tube Appears to be Made by E.M.I only.
