Description

Three shearers on stage at the first Golden Shears Championships held in Masterton in March 1961. Contestants being viewed from behind by other shearers and above by observers/officials. Signage above but only partly shown "Golden Shears Promoted by "Wairarapa Federated Farmers", "Sponsors Borthwicks : Caltex : T V L". Fleeces being collected by female workers below the stage.
