Description
An image of the right side of a stationary horse-drawn tram. Men standing in front and on board the tram. Newton and Ponsonby sign on side. Advertising on front and sides. Published in The Controller October 1932 p.15 with the caption: A horse car outside Tole's Paddock, now better known as the Three Lamps, Ponsonby. The car is divided into smoking and non-smoking compartments. The conductor at the rear is J. Glynn, now head messenger at the G.P.O., Auckland, and the driver, second from the right, is C. Nankervis, now also of the G.P.O.
