Description
Slide Rule - Load Adjuster. The purpose of the Load Adjuster is to enable personnel engaged in the direct loading of the C47 aircraft to control the location of the final centre of gravity. With the load adjuster, a great deal of information can be rapidly and accurately determined. The rule is a long, thin wooden rectangular shape with a clear Perspex slides in the centre. This slides is affixed to rails on the top and bottom edge, allowing it to move fluidly across the full length of the rule. The top side of the rule has a white paper cover, and divided into three sections. Each section has a scale printed in black. The central section can slide completely out and be used as an independent ruler. There is another printed scale beneath the detachable ruler in the centre.
