These items were worn for the 50th Golden Jubilee of Auckland tramways by Gil Elliot (left) and Jim Beacham. They had previously retired, Gil as Chief Inspector of the ATB, but both having been employed from the start of the Auckland Electric Tramway Company in 1902 and the horse tramway prior to that, they were brought out of retirement in November 1952, wore replica 1902 uniforms and crewed tram No.11 now in MOTAT's collection to celebrate the 50th Jubilee of Auckland's electric trams. Later worn on special MOTAT tramway occasions by Ian Stewart and Tony "Jeep" Halling.
