Description
Xa 2241 was built by New Zealand Railways in 1939 (Xa 6 series) at the Otahuhu Railway Workshops. 223 of this type of wagon were built between 1934 and 1939.

This is a 15'7" four-wheeled ventilated box wagon used for fruit and vegetable traffic. Fitted with louvers. Currently painted in all white, with black text "XA [2]241 / 123".

Currently used as MOTAT Rail Section parts storage.
