Circa 1890
A Port-wine coloured shadow satin bodice with a banded neckline with a white lace trim. The collar is a shawl collar. There is a row of buttons down the front of the bodice, with the upper buttons featuring a Scotch thistle design. The lower buttons appear to be a modern addition. The sleeves are leg-o-mutton and are cuffed. There is braiding at the cuffs and bodice hem. Lined inside with a striped brown and cream cotton fabric.
