Description
Copy print of an original painting by Roy Nockolds design to illustrate endurance. It aims to show the effective striking power of fleets at sea, the forewarning of attack, the safety of aircrews and their aircraft (comments on the design from flightglobal archive 1954 1213.pdf). On a blue, green, purple and white background is a darker blue line threaded with red. It originates in the bottom right corner, flows up in a wider loop in the upper centre and then returns to the lower left corner.
