Description
A de Havilland aero engine from the Percival Gull aircraft flown by Jean Batten. The engine is a de Havilland Gipsy Six, which was first made in 1935. The engine is a six-cylinder, in line, air cooled, inverted direct drive, dry sump engine. The engine weight 228kgs. Fuel consumption is 45 litres per hour at economical cruising.
