Description
Copy of an original painting showing a Lancaster being loaded from a fabric covered truck. The Lancaster is at an angle facing right. The truck is under the left wing. There are three uniformed men at the back of the truck. One is behind the truck, holding a clipboard. The second man is bending forward over the back of the truck reaching for something. The third is standing behind them, pointing upwards towards a uniformed man on the wing behind the propeller. There are two metal structures leading up to the wing. One has a traditional ladder structure. The other is a series of metal cubes set one on top of each other, a structure that could also be used as a ladder. Under the right wing are three groups of uniformed men. The front group of three is comprised of a central uniformed man holding a clipboard at waist height who appears to be briefing two men in air gear. The group to their left is comprised of four men in air gear. One is kneeling on the ground and looking upwards towards a standing man. The other two men are facing each other. At the back are three men walking towards the front group. The two at the front are having a conversation, one is in flying gear, the other in a uniform with a brown vest over the tunic. The uniformed man at the back is looking upwards at the underside of the right wing.
