Description
A metal tin with hinged lid, filled with golden record needles. Lid has an image of a silhouette of a bird sitting on a branch with a yellow moon behind, and trees below on a blue background. Text reads, "100 / SONGSTER / REGD / GOLDEN / PICK-UP NEEDLES / MADE SPECIALLY FOR PICK-UP & CINEMA USE.". Printed on the side of the tin is "MADE IN ENGLAND". Printed on the back is "SONGSTER NEEDLES / ARE GUARANTEED / BRITISH MANUFACTURE . THERE ARE FOUR DISTINCT TONES, / EXTRA LOUD, LOUD, MEDIUM / AND SOFT. / GOLDEN PICK UP & BRONZE PICK UP / SOLE MANUFACTURERS / J. STEAD & CO. [?]". The interior is lined with black and gold paper which has printed text, "EACH NEEDLE / WILL PLAY / TEN / TIMES". The tin holds the needles.
