Description
A wooden commemorative plaque. The plaque features a central circular emblem with an image of a gold, round fortified tower in an ocean. A Union Jack flag is flying from the top of the tower. Set against a blue background. Surrounding the emblem is a gold coloured rope-like border with the name 'Repulse' at the top. Above the emblem is a gold detail of a ship flanked by two sails. Below the emblem is a gold coloured scroll with black lettering 'Qui Tangit Frangatur', which means 'Whoever touches me is broken'. Embedded in the back of the plaque is a plastic hook for hanging marked with 'Made in Great Britain'. A gold printed adhesive label with the seller or maker's name is on the back of the plaque.
