This is a incorrect reverse print of DH88 Comet in test colours marked E1 at the new de Havilland factory in about September 1934 being readied for the MacRobertson Air Race from Mildenhall Uk to Melbourne Australia. E1 became G-ACSP "Black Magic" flown by Jim Mollison and his wife Amy (nee Johnson). This aircraft is currently (June 2020) under restoration to flying condition at Derby Aero Club UK. The reverse print fault is supported by the letter E in reverse and the cockpit hinging on the wrong side.
