Description
A child's plate with an illustration of Old Mother Hubbard, a pantry, and a dog on a stool in the centre. A banner with text is printed on the rim, "Old Mother Hubbard. Went to the cupboard.". Text on the otherwise of the rim reads, "To get her poor dog a bone, when she got / there, / The cupboard was bare, / And so the poor dog / he got none". A brown stamp on the base reads, "ROYAL DOULTON / ENGLAND / COPYRIGHT / NURSERY / RHYMES.". There is an engraved stamp on the base which is illegible.
