Description

Certificate given to Birch when he crossed the equator on the Auckland Star ship on the 8th of January 1940. The certificate is illustrated with an image of King Neptune surrounded by sea life. It is blue and silver. This ship was operated by Union Cold Storage Company Limited (Blue Star managers). Verso of certificate features signatures and a well-wisher's note.
