Black and white photographic print of a map showing the flight path of the Southern Cross, Trans-Tasman flight, 1933, from Sydney to New Plymouth. Map contains hand written annotations, and is signed.
Les E Birch, was a ham (amateur) radio operator at the New Plymouth aerodrome Radio Room, station ZL2HI, who was in direct contact with Charles Kingsford Smith in his Trans-Tasman flight in aircraft the Southern Cross.
