Relating to the fund for 8 [sic, 9] radio officers killed on Tarawa Island during World War II on the 15th of October, 1944. The intention was to start a fund to erect permanent memorial. Authored by [L Halsted] of the General Post Office to Les Birch, Radio Inspector for Dunedin's Post and Telegraph Department.
