Description
Five flying boats on the water, all facing left, at Mission Bay. The three in the back line are grey Sunderlands with roundels on their sides, probably Navy aircraft. The closer two are white. The one to the left is the ZK-AMC "Awarua". The one to the right is the ZK-AMA "Aotearoa". In the centre of the foreground is a flag pole with a red, white and blue ensign on a lighter blue background. Part of a signpost with eight named labels is partly hidden behind the end of the flag. All the labels are pointed to the left. To the left of the flagpole is part of a dock and a launch at the dock. The Devonport Navy base is in the background with the headland extending to the left.
