Description
Photograph of a white flat topped Shell service station in Manurewa. Taken at an angle it shows the front, forecourt and service area of the station. The forecourt is under cover. To the left of the roof is a pole with the shell logo swinging from a circular support attached to the top of the pole by two curved support pipes. A flagpole has been attached to the right side of the roof. The flag has a symbol on it, probably the Shell logo. Next to the end of the pole are two signs. The one closer to the road says Open Week Ends. The one closer to the building reads United Motors Ltd Shell. Running down the centre of the roof is a sign saying Dunlop. Under the roof, above the petrol pumps is a banner: Dunlop Gold Seal. There is a triangular wooden sign sitting on the grass verge. It says Open. There are four pillars supporting the roof over the forecourt. Between the pillars are two petrol pumps. Between a second row of pillars are an other two petrol pumps halfway between the front and the building front. There is a third shorter box between the pumps. The front of the building has windows to the left and two doors with a smaller window set between them to the right. At the right end of the building is a slightly higher garage area. Shell lubrication appear above the door. A row of glass windows is set above the door which is open. The back of a car can be seen inside the garage. On the right side of the garage is a second sign: Manurewa Motor Sales. A row of posts sit between the building and a parked car. Its licence plate is 31-319. The road in front of the station is empty. The road to the left of the station has three cars on it. Part of a second building can be seen on the far left. Above the station are power lines and a cloudy sky.
