Head and shoulders portrait of a woman, possibly a Mrs Came or possibly she came out on the Excelsior. It shows a middle aged woman in a high necked dress with a small white ruff around the throat. There are six buttons running down the front of the dress. At the front and above the buttons is a curved metal broach, possibly an anchor symbol. Her hair is dressed in ringlets which hang to chin level at the sides. On her head is a small hat with some kind of floral decoration.
