Description
Head and shoulders portrait of a young man in uniform. It has been taken at a slight angle showing most but not all of his left shoulder. The shirt is plain and buttoned up to the neck. There are two metal buttons on the bottom left at the front of the hat. There is a metal insignia pinned to the crown of the hat. The caption gives his name as Private Charles E. Edwards. It also says that he was a late member Auckland Metropolitan Fire Brigade and that he was killed in action in Egypt on October 24th, 1942.
