Commemorative envelope produced for the 20th anniversary of the Trans-Tasman flight of the Southern Cross VH-USU bearing a vignette of the Southern Cross and a description of the 17 July 1934 flight by Charles Kingsford Smith and P.G. Taylor and the 23 April 1976 flight for the opening of the Southern Cross Gardens, Sydney. Signed by Mary Tully (widow of Charles Kingsford Smith), Arthur Blundell (pilot of the 1976 flight), David Wyllie (Mayor of North Sydney) and Marcia Hawkins. Postmarked 23 April 1976 and bearing an 18c 75th Anniversary of Nationhood Australian stamp.
