Description
Autocrat brand television, model TVP. Cream and light blue/ grey metal casing with 12.5 inch tinted glass screen, metal carry handle at top, three knobs on right side labelled H and B, two knobs on top front. Autocrat logo on bottom left front. Vents on right side and top. Cream coloured perforated wood backing at reverse, grey plastic cord at reverse wound and tied in place by small piece of red plastic coated wire, danger warning on reverse, wattage 120, voltage 230 50, extendable metal aerial at right reverse on top.
Brief History
An example of a portable television manufactured in New Zealand. The television has a handle on the top allowing easy carrying, however it still needed to be plugged into mains power to work.
