Description

Silver, metal and red synthetic ribbon badge, fabricated to resemble medal. Blue enamel and gold coloured metal pendant hung from ribbon, stated on pendant WANGANUI SAVAGE CLUB and club symbol of manned canoe. JEAN BATTEN and 40 YEARS stated on gold coloured metal bars. On reverse; SILVER pressed into metal mould at reverse of pendant and top bar. Believed to have been presented to Jean Batten.
