Description
Black coloured metal radio set on stand - consists of receiver CBY-6105, an unidentified receiver, receiver R-4/ARR-2 all with attached cables, and small metal control box.
Receiver 1- Model plate at top front states AIRCRAFT RADIO RECEIVER TYPE CBY-6105 SERIAL NO. 395 AIRCRAFT RADIO CORP. BOONTON, N.J. 29 JUNE 1940. Westinghouse Dynamotor at back.
Receiver 2- Model plate at top front states AIRCRAFT RADIO RECEIVER AIRCRAFT RADIO CORP. BOONTON, N.J. Serial number obscured through deterioration of metal condition.
Receiver 3- Model plate at top front states R-4/ARR-2 03222: CW 28 VOLTS DC 4000 OHMS OUTPUT. Dynamotor at back made by Electrolux Corporation.
Control box- for tuning and controlling receiver, would be beside pilot for easy operation, transmitter/ receiver would be kept out of way; would have been control box for each transmitter/ receiver.
