Description

Murphy brand radio used in aircraft. Black coloured metal oblong shaped box, top left front shows plate stating TYPE C.U. 334. SER. 228 and brand logo of 'murphy' in italicised lettering. Eight switches or knobs on front controlling 'strobe release' functions, on/off, frequency etc. Bottom left knob gauges in numerals '1, 2, 3, 4..', bottom middle has 'D.C.A. SER. 2' on knob, bottom right gauges in alphabet 'A, B, C, D, E..'. Plate on left side states 'APPROVAL WR. 577/ VOLTS/ C.S.D. 4 INS/ MOUNTING RIGID'. Plate on right side states 'MOD. RECORD'. Plug connection at reverse.
