Description

A circular black woollen fabric badge featuring NZ Fire Service emblem of silver fern (stitched in grey thread) surrounding image of two axes crossed and fire helmet against red background. Stitched in grey around the coat of arms are the words 'NEW ZEALAND FIRE SERVICE' against a mid blue background. Brown paper backing for badge which is stitched onto the badge with black thread. Stamped on back in red ink is a logo featuring the words 'KAIAPOI' and 'MONOGRAMS'. Also some blue handwritten writing (indecipherable).
