Description

A red felt pennant flag. Printed on front in yellow, orange, blue ink: 'WESTERN DIVISION' and emblem of Fire Service (fire helmet, axe in triangular motif). Edge of flag has strip of material attached with loop at each end. Western Districts Division of the Emergency Fire Service set up during WWII- covered Ponsonby, Grey Lynn, Avondale, Pt. Chevalier and Mount Albert etc.
