Description
A khaki coloured cotton epaulette. Front: bronze button - rope design around edge of button, design in middle features anchor with entwined rope and crown above that. Braid hand stitched into arrow design (two lines indicating rank). 'A' stitched in thread within braid pattern. Braid creamy/ yellow colour, brown coloured thread stitched 'A'. Back: Khaki cotton drill hand stitched onto reverse. Hole at pointed end through which button fits and small clip is attached underside to hold button in place. Small holes in fabric on back through which shoe lace threaded - cream coloured with metal aglet (stopper) at each end.
